A stunning bank holiday weekend meant lots of getting out and about around our beautiful Island.  Brighstone beach first thing on Sunday morning, followed by a trek over the Downs on Monday.  Gorgeous weather!

We went to Colewell first thing Sunday morning to watch the powerboats racing (although they were only specks in the distance!).  The first group raced to Torquay and back, and the second group to Poole Harbour and back.  The binoculars were a definite must, but...

The day before the kids went back to school, we had a gentle stroll along the causeway at Yarmouth, ending at the lovely 'Off the Rails' - well-worth a stop!

A simply stunning afternoon on Sunday, rather unexpectedly, so we started at the old Radar Station at the top of Ventnor Down and followed our noses down to the seafront - we could have been in the French Riviera - the sea sparkled, the sun beamed and the ice creams...
