All you need to know about our accessibility!
Our cottages are arranged around a flat, central courtyard where you can park your car allowing you ease of access into the cottages.
All of our cottages are ground floor disabled/wheelchair accessible with level entry from the car park into the cottage. All of the doorways, internal and external, are wide enough to allow for wheelchairs, with no steps or raised thresholds to negotiate.
Each cottage has a ground floor wet room, all roughly the same size. There is a wheel-in shower, toilet and sink in each. There are various grab rails in useful places but please do ask where specific ones are placed when you enquire about a cottage. The wet rooms are en suite in our three largest cottages, Rose, Honeysuckle, and Wisteria.
Rose cottage has two fully electric profiling beds in the ground floor bedroom.
Honeysuckle has a super king bed in the ground floor bedroom. This can be separated into two singles and one of the singles put onto risers if you need access for a hoist. Alternatively we can take out one of the singles and provide a fully electric profiling bed if you prefer.
Lavender cottage has two fully electric profiling beds and there is a super king double in the other bedroom.
We have various shower chairs available for guests to borrow and there is no charge for this. We strongly recommend reserving the one best suited to you when you book as they are quickly snapped up.
Each cottage has a raised toilet seat.
All of our cottages have a riser-recliner electric chair in the lounge.
We do not have a hoist of our own but there are companies on the island who you can hire one from (please note: we cannot be held responsible for arrangements you make with any of these companies). Most will deliver to and collect from us. Links to these companies are:
